The 100-P5 HC (Heli Competition) motor continues Webra's power plant development by raising the capacity of the .90 (15 cc) size motor to 1.00 cu in (16 cc). The increased capacity is obtained by lengthening the stroke, which also produces higher torque. The dimensions of the 100-P5 HC are almost identical to those of the 91-P5 motor, which means that it can be installed in most commercially available model helicopters with no modification other than a revised gearbox reduction ratio. Much knowledge gained from our experience with the 91-P5 series has been exploited in the design of the new motor, with the result that it generates excellent power even with fuels of relatively low nitromethane content. The compelling advantages of the Webra P5 induction system have also been incorporated into the new design, including four generously dimensioned transfer ports and one exhaust port for maximum gas induction and improved gas acceleration. The large number of cooling fins on the cylinder head and crankcase help to promote an efficient flow of cooling air, while a special insulator prevents the heat of combustion affecting the crankcase. The piston / cylinder liner implement the proven and thoroughly tested Webra AAR*) system.

The newly designed HDY round slide carburettor ensures more accurate speed regulation and better gas acceleration.

The newly designed Webra HDY 11 round slide carburettor is a proportional mixture-regulating carburettor which uses a twin-needle system for fuel regulation and a round slide for air regulation. The intake opening corresponds to an 11 mm bore. The high-speed needle regulates the full-throttle range, while the mid-range needle is used to adjust the mid-range and idle ranges. This carburettor principle provides accurate control of the motor over its full speed range, combined with a marked increase in power. The linear movement of the round slide accelerates the gas exchange process, and also improves the motor's dynamic characteristics. A pressurised tank must be used with this carburettor.
